Why Learn Metalworking?
Have you ever imagined turning the inspiration in your mind into a piece of jewelry you can actually wear?
The charm of metalworking lies exactly in this—it allows ideas to become tangible creations.
From a simple piece of metal to a unique piece of jewelry, every step requires focus and patience, and because of that, each piece carries a story that belongs to you.
I’m Y, with over twenty years of experience in the metalworking industry.
I often say I am “untrained but endlessly curious” in metalworking—I want to try every technique, every material, because I believe the essence of creation lies in exploration.
Exploring the possibilities of different materials, experimenting with various techniques, and discovering how far you can go in your own creative journey. Here, you don’t need to be skilled at the start—you only need the courage to take the first step. Whether it’s the approachable warmth of brass or the delicate purity of silver, each metal offers a completely different experience.
When you complete your first piece with your own hands, you’ll feel the power of creation—a pride that belongs to every maker and the starting point for countless future creations.
These courses are offered in collaboration with the School of Continuing Education at Chinese Culture University. Beginners are welcome—no prior metalworking experience is required.
At the same time, we warmly invite makers from all backgrounds, or anyone interested in metal as a material, to find new inspiration and insights through the art of metalworking.
